Plants and Seeds

We understand that year round gardening can be overwhelming!  And simply knowing what to plant when can be a great stumbling block.  As a Living City subscriber, we provide you with the plants and seeds you need, when you need them.  Each full share is designed to fill a 400ft2 garden (that’s 20’ x 20’) at the height of the season.

Each month, from February to September, you pick up a box of transplants and seeds for your garden. We provide varieties best suited to our climate, plants we know have performed well for us in our own gardens. Our subscribers enjoy a mix of vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers. This variety is great for your dinner table as well as your garden. You will be companion planting, providing habitat for pollinators, and attracting beneficial insects without even thinking about it!

All seeds and plants are “open-pollinated” varieties. This means you can grow seed in your garden if you choose.  Some plants and seeds come from our own gardens; others from small, local organic farmers.  Wildcat Mountain Farm, a small farm in Sandy, Oregon grows most of our plants.
